The $49 Electrical Wellness Check

In about 30–45 minutes, I’ll go through the issue you called me for, as well as taking a look at the rest of your electrical system — panels, outlets, disconnects, and a general visual inspection — and tell you everything I see. What you do with the information is your decision. No pressure, no scare tactics. And if we schedule work that day, the $49 is waived.

No pressure. No upsells. Ever.

I’ll tell you everything I see going on with your electrical system, and I won’t pressure or scare you into spending a dime. The only time I’ll push is when there’s a real safety concern — it’s my job to keep your home safe, and I sleep well knowing I’ve done that job, and you, right.

Noticing any of these?

  • Flickering lights
  • Switches that feel loose
  • Plugs that won't hold a cord
  • Dark marks around an outlet
  • A crackle or a spark
  • Power going in and out

These things are your house asking for some attention — let’s catch the issue now, so that small fix doesn’t turn into a big investment later.

He’s been in the electrical world for 10 years, and started Lefty’s so he could help folks without it costing an arm and a leg, and with no pressure to push for sales. (And yes — Douglas is left-handed.)

Frequently asked

Do you do free estimates?

There's a $49 dispatch fee, which covers a full electrical Wellness Check — and it's credited toward any work we schedule from that visit.

Do you charge by the hour?

No — flat-rate pricing, time and materials included. The price I quote is the price you pay.

Can you quote over the phone?

We can talk things through, but I can't price anything without an in-person look. Your whole system is connected, and I want to give you the most accurate quote I can.

Do you do emergency or after-hours work?

I have some limited availability outside normal business hours. If I'm available, there's a $149 dispatch fee for evenings and weekends. After-hours dispatch is non-creditable.

Do you do new construction?

I'm focused on service calls and remodels/renovations for now — as I grow, so will the size of the projects I can help with!

How do I know if my panel is dangerous?

If it's a Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or GTE Sylvania, it needs replacing — full stop. Text me a photo if you're not sure.

What are signs I need electrical attention?

Flickering lights, loose-feeling switches, plugs that won't grip a cord, dark marks around outlets, power going in and out, any crackle or spark. Don't ignore them — they don't go away.
